Merchant Taylors' School, Northwood Boys-U14E vs  Mill Hill & Belmont Schools
On: Monday, 01 Oct 2018
Venue: at Home

With Mill Hill having played very little rugby, an adapted game of touch rugby was played, with both sides fielding two teams of 10 in a game of three thirds. MTS were a little more experienced and were able to recycle the ball from contact quickly and move it wide to enable their pacy backs to score. With the score at 4 tries to 0, the next team of 10 players took a while to adapt to the conditioned game but gradually worked out that trying to run through the middle would not work, eventually winning the second third by 2-0. The final third saw Mill Hill hit their stride and start to retain possession more effectively, though without ever threatening the MTS line. A final score by the player with the silkiest skills, Louis Rich, was a fitting finale. Both teams played with a great spirit and everyone had enjoyed a successful afternoon.
